- Rio Carnival features naked paraders
Nudity isn't allowed at the Carnival. But paraders paint their naked bodies with various designs -- such a the Brazilian flag -- to cover themselves. The police do not always considered this sufficient.
- Scientists wonder why sex is so popular
Apparently it's a pretty inefficient method of reproduction; the whiptail lizard, for example, consists only of females. Scientists suggest that sex helps species rid themselves of bad genes.
- Oy vey! It's Nina Hartley
Porn star Nina Hartley has been asked to talk at the Beth-Ami synagogue in Southern Californian by the Rabbi, as part of the synagogue's adult education programme explaining how couple can add some more pizzazz to their sex lives.
- Elton John: most romantic couple
The singer and his partner David Furnish have been voted Britain's most romantic gay couple, according to voters at a poll at RainbowNetwork.com. Actress Sophie Ward and her partner Rena Brannan, were voted the most romantic lesbian couple.

Vincent Bethell of the "Freedom To Be Yourself" campaign will talk naked at the University of St Andrews in Scotland in a debate proposing the motion 'This house would go nude'. A University Professor will oppose.
- Eastenders star likes to go nude
Laila Morse who plays Mo Slater in the BBC soap says that she enjoys naturist holidays. "When I'm abroad I don't like to wear anything" she says in the recent interview.
- Naked journalist kicked out of hotel
François Gagnon stepped out of his hotel room to get the morning newspaper when the door closed behind him. After venturing downstairs to the reception desk at 4 am, he was accused of being drunk, asked to return to his room, and wait for the police.
- Older women have riskier sex
A new survey of women in their 40s finds that a third do not consider contraception before dating, and nearly half have sex with their new partners within 5 dates, compared to a third of women in their 20s.
- Your neck can have an orgasm
So claims Valerie Brooks, a Los Angeles sex expert. Apparently you start by tickling the neck in the right place... and it ends with a throat orgasm.

A recent programme on the pornography business seemed to imply that most Americans do not make use of the industry; yet billions of dollars are spent on porn each year. So most Americans don't acknowledge what they do or watch.

Some claim they are the greatest, and others lousy in bed. A group of people hints at their performances.
- Women in glasses are sexy
...according to a new survey by Specsavers Opticians, the most popular specs wearer is Jennifer Aniston. Nearly half of those questioned thought that specs make a woman look sexier, and 90% think glasses are desirable.

Irish women are starting to talk more about their sexuality. Apparently 40 per cent have some kind of problem. But every since a certain episode of Sex in the City, 'The Rabbit' vibrator has become very popular.

A testosterone patch is being developed by Procter & Gamble to help post-menopausal women improve their sex drive. It is worn just below the navel, and changed every 3 or 4 days. [more]

- Anatomically correct "Oscars" sued
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences which owns the trademark on the "Oscar" statue has sued a company for selling its version: a well-endowed 10-inch "Stud of the Year". The suit contends that the saucy version is sold "in a manner likely to cause confusion" with the original. [more] >> And I thought imitation was the best form of flattery.
- We are all so very confused about sexuality
Whether it is prostitution, or sex with someone who is a month under age, "Sex is not morally neutral". It is pointed out that in the 1800s, more people were hanged in England for sodomy, than murder.
- Naked law students Website pulled
The Edinburgh University student law society has had its site pulled after complaints; apparently it contained pictures of student posing for the camera partially clothed, or even naked. One picture showed a male student had shaving cream covering his genitals. >> Has the law society heard of freedom of speech?

- Austin police lift ban of breasts
The local force had promised to charge women who bared their breasts at this year's Mardi Gras festival. But lawyers advised that this did not count has "disorderly conduct". Today's demonstration will go ahead as planned: 200 women will protest by lifting their shirts.

The programme hightlights the amount of porn on the Internet, and how major corporations are part of the business. Apparently the show includes a fair amount of "explicit and gratuitous porn"
- Japanese learn sex education earlier
Since Japanese kids are maturing younger, they'll start getting sex education earlier. But schools can choose how much they teach. Most have their first sexual experience at about 16 years old.
- Vagina Monologues play banned
The City Hall Licensing Department in Dataran Merdeka, Malaysia, has withdrawn the licence to the play, saying that it had received some complaints from the public.
- Brits have infrequent sex
More than half of single young men in Britain have sex only a few time each year, according to a new survey in FHM magazine, whereas for married men, only 14% do.
- Stringfellows to feature more nudity
Peter Stringfellow's London club has been given permission from the local council for the dancer to forego their G-strings. Opponents argued that it would entice the sex trade.
